My coaching approach….
The bottom line: the coaching sessions will be adobted to your needs. If you need one or few intense sessions to progress on a given challenge- this might be the solution for you. Often coaching is like peeling an onion: layers upon layers. It takes a bit of time to create a strong coaching relationship and not least: what we believed is the «truth» and the «correct» goal is absolutely not as you believed.
Thus, I recommend that we carry out two modules, each with 6 sessions of 45 minutes each of personal coaching.
Module 1 - Development within status - Basic understanding - Where are you now?
After the first conversation where we will focus on your overall goal/vision with your personal development, you will complete an Everything DiSC (1) personality analysis which will be used as a starting point for your further work in the coaching classes.
- You will identify 4-6 areas you want to work on;
- You will use all of yourself; even if the objectives are linked to working life, your entire experience and history and personality will be relevant topics;
- In addition to the long-term goals, we will address the day-to-day issues that you have challenges related to.
For the individual sessions, we will use the GROW model (2) where we start from what has been achieved since the previous session and focus on a new problem that will result in concrete action points that you will work on until the next time.
Module 2- A new world: Open perspectives: The Big Steps of Moving Borders
In the second module, you have warmed up and established a good basis for the major personal developments. You have come a long way in understanding yourself and your current status, your skills, qualities and limitations.
In module 2, we deal with the real big issues and challenges. Are you where you can and want to be in life? Is there room or ambitions for the bigger steps? Here there is room for the deep reflections related to the person, family and work. Should a new direction be desided, and if so, what should that be? Now it's time for a deep dive into you as a person and what values you represent.
Module 2 will end with a normalizing, stabilizing and consolidating session - which continues on an hourly basis beyond the 6 hours if necessary.
After each coaching session, I prepare a log that briefly contains:
Follow-up/action points
Reflection task
Challenges which I believe may be relevant and which you should decide on - this may contain an underlying problem/theme which may be provocative but which should be aired
